On that subway loft, Joshua played some of the most well known pieces by Beethoven and Mozart.    Playing them on a violin worth 3.5 million dollars. Two days before he played on that platform earning $30, Joshua sold out a Boston theater, and the seats averaged about $100.  This experiment proved that ordinary often doesn’t recognize and therefore not appreciate extraordinary. I have studied this story for years trying to identify the voice or the origin of the complaint of the man. The voice is now clearly that of a victim. The method used is called victimology and it’s goal is to give you a PhD in victimization, that is being proficient and qualified to create other victims. The voice will use your differences, ethnicity, gender, past failures, family’s social economic backstory, etc as the platform to build a stronghold.  The voice of victimology comes from either the spirit of deception, the spirit of depression or the spirit of fear. They will work in concert or independently to steal from you truth, joy, and or peace.  They will even use those close (or not so close) to you to build or repair that stronghold. So if you are stopped in the valley of despair then you will have a fallen countenance. Contrasting that if the place you choose to dwell is in His presence, you will find peace, joy, hope, and strength.  This is predicated based upon true relationship, plenty people claim to live in Him but only live near Him. Now Jeremiah 29:11 is a consummation given by the Lord after the storm. But notice how in verse 8 here, we are warned not to believe every prophecy by every prophet, nor allow our emotions to trigger errant dreams.  The prophet’s intent may be to bring you joy, or the present storm has you longing for days gone, but please know there are reasons for storms and we must go through all phases of that given storm.  Hence the fallacy of the so called “prosperity gospel”. But being called by the wrong identity can derail or delay your purpose. The Lord established our identity and our purpose in the scripture above. Made in His image identifies us and having dominion is our purpose.  This is why the first weapon deployed by the enemy was the lie of identity all in an effort to steal our purpose which is dominion. And please note this is still the most important weapons he uses today.  Thus the importance of knowing who you are and being who you know. How important was it that the Lord compelled the name from Legion? This is something that we miss far too often.  In the fairy tail Rumpelstiltskin the young woman’s power over the demon was hinged upon knowing its name. NAMES are important!  Legion expresses that its name is not random as many are today, but the name expressed its purpose and described its content. NAMES are important!  The individuals that made up the whole had became one and solidified in one names its purpose to destroy the man.  Knowing your enemy in the spirit requires more knowing it’s name than its face. The face is its characteristic behavior.  So when you recognize the behavior then you are more likely to determine its name.   I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: -Isaiah 41:19 Good morning and TGIF! This odd sounding scripture really captured my attention. Odd mainly because of its placement.  Why would the Lord talk of planting trees? And further why those particular trees in those climates? Both climates didn’t seem pristine for vegetation of any kind, let alone mighty trees some which produce oils thus requiring more moisture.   As I took just one tree mentioned (pine), and researched a typical pine seeing if it could grow in the desert. I found that only by modern understanding could any pine grow in the desert. In the time frame of the writing of this scripture it was not plausible to grow any pine in the desert.  This is so typically applicable of our God. He gives understanding of old to the new mind set that is skewered towards doubt. ...

  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. -Isaiah 41:10 Good morning and terrific Thursday to you! On yesterday I presented this scripture to you for thought and took part A. In it fear was identified as detrimental to faith and we were told not to allow it to deter our walk of faith.  Part B begins providing a promise of God! “I will strengthen thee and I will help thee”. This promise shows us that God will give us what we need to face challenges and when the challenge is greater than we can bear,  He will as the poem “Foot prints in the sand” says, will carry us, fighting our battle along the way.  The last part describes how He will reach down, across, through, etc to pull us up and get us in line with His perfect will for our lives.  Simply how mighty is our God! I’ve often quipped that the two greatest things used to control us are lust and fear.  Though it may be seen as humorous by some there is certainly truth to that thought.  Those same two things the Lord gives us repeated warnings about their detrimental influence on holiness and faith.  In the scripture above is another such warning. Further it is emphasized the reason not to fear is because HE is with us.  Though we may see loathsome and horrid things walking on the path that He has told us to walk, we are told not to be dismayed (disturbed and fretful).  The reason we are not to be dismayed is, because if He is for us, no created thing can harm us.  Let’s dissect the rest of the scripture tomorrow.  God bless yo...

  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. -Romans 10:9 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you! A popular artist rendered a song with a a verse saying “Confession is good for the heart, THEY SAY”. I am not sure if she or many people understand the power of confession.  The scripture above alludes to the power as it takes our acceptance and confession for salvation to be wrought. I once heard someone exclaim if Friday the 13th is unluckily what about Thursday the 12th… We are all bombarded daily with challenges to our trust in God. Every median is used TV, radio, social media and more. All having in common a goal to detour our trust.  As stated by the psalmist some have their trust detoured to horses, whilst others to chariots.   Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. -Hebrews 11:1 Good morning and terrific Thursday to you!  Do trust and faith have the same meaning? Are they two peas in a pod or is Faith the pod which holds peas such as hope, joy, peace and trust? I argue that faith is the pod which nourishes, protects, and produces those peas. Because with the pod called Faith the peas develop or remain viable.  The purpose of trust is the tangible seen requirements we need such as protection and substance.   It is interesting how the pea comes into being before the pod grows around it. But consider that grace is required before faith can come and exposures and experiences build trust, hope, joy, and peace; all which are covered in the pod called faith.  After you have experienced his love and the fruit of faith grows, that overarching shell called the pod keeps it all together.  God bless you and command your day!!! A true prophet is obedient which is their hallmark. The story above speaks of a young prophet who went off script. The Lord had given him specific instructions and had forbidden any deviation.  Another prophet came alone, an older man who in perhaps his nosiness had the young man come back to his house to eat and refresh and talk.  The scripture captures God being true to His word, disobedience is sin and the wages thereof are death.  His wage was death. Note that the lion only killed him and did not devour his carcass and did not harm the mule.  Beloved in this context we are warned to stay in our lanes and stay the course as given by the Lord. Hear and harken not allowing what He has specifically instructed to be altered or delayed by anyone.  God ...

  And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself. -1 Kings 22:25 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you! I once read a commentary that said the greatest service of love one can give an adversary is of truth. Even after a disservice or downright attack has occurred. This was the case with the Prophet Micaiah.  Zedekiah had lied to King Ahab as had 399 others and was sending him to certain death. As a result of their advice Micaiah hinted someone would seek out those whose advice resulted in his death.  After Micaiah had spoken contrary to the crowd, Zedekiah is said to have slapped him. Instead of returning the well dispensed assault, Micaiah warned him of the coming retribution in the scripture above. One which far exceeded a peck on the cheek.  Let’s suppose if you were Micaiah and Zedekiah had layed hands first. How would you react?  Often times Christians react as the world, taking vengeance ...

And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good. -1 Kings 22:13 Good morning and happy Monday to you!  The conversation above was held between an officer of the court of Ahab and the Prophet Micaiah.  The officer pleaded that Micaiah “get in line” with the word of the other prophets. 400 others had told Ahab to go forth to battle and “surely” he would be victorious.  Micaiah knew different and though he initially agreed with the others, when pressed told the whole truth of the demise of Ahab.   We face similar challenges when we are the only one standing whilst everyone else has bowed to the pressures of society.    But in spite of the pressure to conform we must remain transformative and destroy the lies of this world with the truth that sets us free.  God...

I can still see the TeaCups spinning and marionettes dancing.  City: Orlando State: Florida Venue: Disney world.  Song:  🎶 It’s a Small world 🎶 Never has the meaning of the phrase “you are what you eat” and the scripture above rang so true than with my exposure to that ride and song.  Whatever you ingest the most through your given gates will not only enter but set up roost. So if your diet consist mainly of carnal nutrition then carnality will become you.   I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: -Deuteronomy 30:19 Good morning and terrific Thursday to you!  Are you choosing life? In the scripture above Moses has come off a torrent of the keys to living Holy. Wrapping it up he defines everything as one path or the other.  The Lord Jesus reiterated the same in Matthew 7:13    saying wide is the gate that leads to a broad road which is the way of death whilst narrow is the way of life.  Many may ask how do I ensure that the path I take is the right path. You know by the width of the gate and the adjoining road.  The wide road will be full of the contradictory potholes of life. Those holes will seem to appear out of nowhere, as the enemy seeks to keep one thinking these are “happenstance holes” and for you to stay the course.  But these seemingly random potholes...

  For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. -Acts 20:27 Good morning and happy hump day to you! The Apostle Paul in the scripture above calls for us to be accountable.  Not the type of accountability that the world has for us, the “do you” world that carnality has created. The accountability is in studying the word, knowing and applying the word.  The word of God is defined as an entirety or general and as specifics. The specifics are situational based on individual needs whilst the Logos is the collection of those things specifics and generals. The full counsel of God is the entirety of His word. Things we like, even love as well as things we don’t. Things that bring us joy as well as conviction.    Beloved do not short yourselves of the fullness of the Logo and the Rhema of our all encompassing God. As time does march on so should our acknowledgement of the urgency of spreading the gospel.  As all have a role to play no one can sit down on their role and expect that prayer alone will present to the hearts and ears of those we have been thus assigned.  The Apostle James brought to our understanding the difference between faithful prayer alone vs faith and works together.   Our faith if it is the only thing we have is sufficient but if it is within our ability to work towards those natural things the Lord will enhance that ability as it brings Him glory.  And lastly do not discount your role, the triune God gave gifts from the Father, specific gifts from the son and also gifts of the Holy Spirit. This scripture above is one which traditionally has started my year.  In it the Lord exercises His sovereignty. God is truly doing new things. This year will open our eyes both physically as well as spiritually.  Things are not going to be business as usual. Oddities will be the normal.
