It's a daunting task to convince anyone to willingly sacrifice their life in exchange for that of a righteous individual, someone in right standing with Christ and recognized for their righteousness derived from Him. Even fewer individuals would contemplate laying down their life for merely a good man, someone who might not have embraced Christ but is esteemed within their community as a benevolent, compassionate, and actively contributing member.  Now, contemplate the condition of the majority of people.   Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: -Romans 5:1 Good morning and happy Monday to you! To be justified by faith is the major benefit of salvation on this side of the Jordan.  Through God’s abounding grace we reap this faith driven justification and can boldly go before the presence of God!  The authority of the believer allows us to petition through Jesus and make our bold request made known to the Father.  This justification empowers us to firmly stand upon God's word and declare His will both in the earthly realm and within our own lives.   Suppose ye that I am come to give peace earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: -Luke 12:51 Good morning and TGIF!    The statement in the scripture above is both bold and intriguing, particularly because these are the words of our Lord and Savior. Upon initial reflection, those who have not established a profound connection might find it puzzling that division is necessary for the establishment of the kingdom. The underlying aim of this division is to separate us from the burdens of the Adamic curse and, ultimately, to reunite us with the Father. The Lord's intention to divide and remove is rooted in the idea of replacing something with His superior alternative. What He eliminates are the elements that perpetuate our state of conflict with the Father, preventing us from embracing the gift of grace. The debate among belief systems centers on the significance of good deeds. Imagine someone who, during a Wednesday service, walked down the aisle and dedicated their life to the Lord. Angels celebrate, and so does the congregation, then this new believer immediately immerses themselves in church activities and charitable endeavors. They're willing to do anything asked of them, except for nurturing their faith, gaining understanding, and deepening their relationship with the Lord. It's possible that this individual has fallen into the misconception that works hold equal value to grace. They embrace the mistaken notion of being "saved by grace, kept by works." It's essential to understand that neither faith alone nor works alone secure entry into the kingdom.  I...

  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. What really stands out in the scripture above is the third part of the verse (and they also which pierced Him).  The scripture more than implies that those who stood in judgment and performed the worst act of cruelty in history are being called into account. The Winans produced a song called “Tomorrow” in the song it spoke of how many are putting off repentance and accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. As it was in the time of His earthly ministry so is it today.  While meditating the topic “Now and Then” came to my spirit. It seems we want most things now except salvation. Some even think that then is an option. Then,    being when your name is called to transition.   Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. -Matthew 25:1 Good morning and TGIF! The scripture provided introduces the famous parable of the ten virgins. Within it, we find a powerful analogy comparing a mere facade or toothless tiger to a genuine one. Both may appear ferocious and immensely dangerous, but one is nothing more than an illusion, a representation of what it claims to be, akin to a 'paper tiger,' which suggests it was never a tiger to begin with. Examining a tiger's stripe pattern reveals imperfections – uneven stripes, some shorter than others, and so on. In contrast, a 'paper tiger' is meticulously painted on flawless paper with perfect brush strokes. In the kingdom, there are individuals who resemble 'paper tigers.' They seem flawless, but truthfully, like the paper tiger, they lack substance, much like the lamps of the five virgins – empty. Just as a zoologist...

Jesus referred to John the Baptist as the greatest person born of a woman. At first glance, John may not have seemed remarkable. He was born to elderly parents who didn't possess great wealth. His father was a part-time priest, part-time shepherd, and his mother a housewife. His attire wouldn't fit the fashion of any era, his diet was far from appetizing, and his demeanor could be seen as brusque. However, despite these apparent limitations, the Lord considered him great. Going beyond the surface, we see that John never sought his own glory; he directed it all to God. The brutal work on the cross is often depicted in glorious terms that belies the true nature of the gory, demeaning, and painfully unfair condition of the Lord’s crucifixion.  Beloved for a really brief moment consider a prisoner who has had sleep deprivation, beaten beyond recognition, beard plucked out, a scalp that added blood to a sweating face, nails driven through both hand and feet, likely dislocated joint, etc and adding to that a lack of oxygen.  All that which would be condemned by the most brutish of governments perpetrated upon the worst criminal, now consider the victim was without sin.  He, who could have easily chosen to save Himself, remained on the cross so that we might have a place at the Father's...

  All these are the beginning of sorrows. -Matthew 24:8 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you! An encouraging word should not be void of a correcting word and is often wrought in a prophetic word! That said the words of the Lord in Matthew 24, contains all three elements needed for deliverance.  We are living in an era of deceit. Inexperienced individuals often deliver "prophetic" messages of prosperity that are uplifting but lack necessary correction. Contained within correcting words are warnings and not heeding warning is what releases justice in due season.  The six preceding verses in Matthew 24 begin by describing the destruction of the temple (which has already occurred) and go on to discuss various challenges humanity faces, such as wars, rumors, regional conflicts, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in diverse places. After those things were enumerated, in verse eight a chilling revelation, that these are the beginning of sorrows. Let me encourage you not...

Monday, marking the start of the workweek for most of us, can feel like a grim reaper, disrupting the peace we've briefly savored during the weekend.  However, it's important to note that Monday also carries a sense of optimism, in contrast to the lingering issues of a drawn-out Friday with no apparent solutions in sight. Sometimes, while we unwind, the answers, explanations, and insights become clear.  In this light, Monday transforms into a day of fresh starts, breakthroughs, and achievements. Our perception of victory is often heavily influenced by the way we begin, more than we might recognize.  The keys to achieving success lie in having the right intentions and maintaining unwavering faith throughout the journey. A well-known preacher once stated, "Jesus was popular because He was entertaining." Well, if entertaining people leads to them wanting to stone you, then Jesus was indeed entertaining. The words of Jesus provoked more offense than comfort because the truth that sets you free can be uncomfortable (offensive) during the process. We are certainly in the day and age that the truth offends. On the surface we must know that life is full of storms, but in a sense He was warning us about judgment. The question is are you prepared for the rain (difficult times)?
