And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. -Matthew 27:35

Good morning and happy hump day to you! The brutal work on the cross is often depicted in glorious terms that belies the true nature of the gory, demeaning, and painfully unfair condition of the Lord’s crucifixion.

Beloved for a really brief moment consider a prisoner who has had sleep deprivation, beaten beyond recognition, beard plucked out, a scalp that added blood to a sweating face, nails driven through both hand and feet, likely dislocated joint, etc and adding to that a lack of oxygen.

All that which would be condemned by the most brutish of governments perpetrated upon the worst criminal, now consider the victim was without sin.

He, who could have easily chosen to save Himself, remained on the cross so that we might have a place at the Father's table and the opportunity to transcend our condemned Adamic fate.

Consider the profound injustice endured on our behalf and contrast it with the false portrayal of a beautifully glorious and radiant cross, which starkly contradicts the true nature of this crucifixion.

God bless you and command your day!!!
