For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. -Romans 5:7

Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you!  The Apostle Paul's words resonate deeply with both sinners and saints alike as he eloquently portrays the unparalleled act of love demonstrated by the Lord Jesus. It's a daunting task to convince anyone to willingly sacrifice their life in exchange for that of a righteous individual, someone in right standing with Christ and recognized for their righteousness derived from Him.

Even fewer individuals would contemplate laying down their life for merely a good man, someone who might not have embraced Christ but is esteemed within their community as a benevolent, compassionate, and actively contributing member.

Now, contemplate the condition of the majority of people. Paul in 2 Timothy 3 vividly depicts the moral decay in our society, where self-centeredness, moral perversion, disobedience, rebellion, and murderous in thought and deed are accepted as normal.

However, Christ's sacrificial love extends to these as well. The sin seed inherited from Adam dictates that all have sinned, and any good deeds performed outside of a relationship with Christ hold no eternal value. Yet, during our state of sin, devoid of remorse and even morally corrupted, Christ willingly took our place, triumphed over death, the grave, and even hell itself, and emerged with a name exalted above every other name.
