The blessings of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrows. Proverbs 10:22 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday.  Many ask the Lord for wealth but not wisdom. Wisdom is a treasure far more valuable. Wealth sits and grows on wise ground and firm foundation. Wealth without wisdom is extremely dangerous.  Wealth without wisdom keeps you perpetually lacking. Either seeking more money, more thrills, more power (unethical manipulative control), unrestrained immoral desires but none satisfy the ungodly lust.  It is seen as interesting that Solomon asked for wisdom and as a result got wealth almost as an after thought. But beloved consider that the natural laws of God grants wealth to the wise adding no sorrow.  The scripture above teaches us that if the blessing is from the Lord it is solid. Further His blessing come from obedience.  God bless you and command your day!!! Your comments and questions are welcome. Contact me at drschaefferinterceding@yahoo.com You can...
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. -John 15:1 Good morning and Happy Monday! Today is Memorial Day. Unknown or ignored by many, Memorial Day and Veterans Day have separate celebratory targets.   Veterans Day is for those who have served giving of their time and effort, whilst Memorial Day is for those who died in the service of the nation.  Unless something changes drastically I’ll never be rightfully celebrated on Memorial Day even after I’ve gone home unless as a direct result of my service my physical life ends.  No matter the heart of the celebrant who is memorialized in giving their life, I can assure you it was the result of the last choice; when all other alternatives have been examined and dismissed.  Jesus came to earth as the son of God being fully God but fully man and knowing the fate before Him was the cross and certain death.  A service member goes into war knowing that the possibility of d...
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. -Romans 10:17 God bless you and TGIF. It is beyond my understanding how anyone who can hear think that what they hear cannot impact them.  As a young boy I’d hear different words used by older kids and adults that were often used improperly due to their lack of understanding.  Their lack served to further disconnect me from the truth of a given word. Now apply this same formula to almost any subject and    a stew of confusion is cooked. Those things coupled with youthful understanding can serve to build strongholds and supplements generational curses.    If one desires to break those curses first they must know how faith is established. The same path that faith travels, fear doth commutes.  As God desires to build faith, the enemy wants to build fear and both traveling the same path attempt to reach the same milestones.  Beloved it is all in guarding and feeding. You must guar...
25 because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you, 27 when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.                                       -Proverbs 1 Good morning and terrific Thursday to you. Some of the most terrifying sets of scripture in the Bible is found above. Especially when you realize the one laughing is the Lord.  A cynic would ask the question why would a loving God humor at your circumstance and the answer simply is because the person ignored His counsel, His instructions, His advice.  As a parent I’ve been a member in good standing of the “Well OK then, corner” for a number of years. There I’ve relished though not finding boisterous humor in hard heads making soft… you know....
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. -Ecclesiastes 8:11 Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: -Ecclesiastes 8:12 Good morning and happy hump day! Is there anything more frustrating to the righteous than justice delayed?  I’m quite sure then I’m not the only one that’s found himself with a “get ‘em God” in my spirit. Be it something that was directly done to me, to someone I know and love, or to someone else, I’ve found myself saying “Lord how long?”.  The scriptures above urges us to not only to “fret not” but to swiftly carry out the justice thats within our hands.  The justice of a well-placed apology, the justice of restitution, or the justice of restoration cannot be underestimated or understated.  Consider that scripture says that a person w...
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? -Romans 6:1 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday. The Apostle Paul in the scripture above taught that grace and sincere repentance are not two distant concepts but grace though always first, increases with the sincerely of the concerned.   Contrary to some teachings grace doesn’t always stay the hand of justice.    As the Lord understands our frail human condition and the associated temptations and challenges His grace is sufficient for mistakes that we truly repent over.  Yet in His grace the suffering in which sin wrought is justified. The perfection of this knowledge is that our justice was served on Christ in the great exchange. God bless you and command your day!!! Your comments and questions are welcome.   For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.-Romans 8:6esv  Good morning and Happy Monday. Reading this scripture in the ESV opens up new understanding.  Where our thoughts are identifies the location of our hearts, and our thoughts are considered treasures.  So the scripture in Matt 6:21 rings true. Our thoughts that are set on carnal things deny the place the Lord only should occupy.  When we treasure or cater to our flesh the results or the destination is always death. As I read the scripture I realized how life and peace are the residual effects of living in the spirit.  God bless you and command your day!!! Your comments and questions are welcome.   Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers!               -Psalms37:1 Good morning and TGIF.    As I’ve often shared my familiarity with poverty, there is no need to rehash that area of my life. With surety I can attest to how good God has been.  And not withstanding or diminishing God’s goodness and what is applicable to us all are how blessings and choices intersect, as do curses and choices.  The Lord gives us the grace of showing how frustration can skew choices. We are told to not allow fear of not achieving keep us from trying and eventually what festers in our hearts is the root of murder itself jealousy.  Ungodly choices may in the short term seem to prosper a man, but in the long term you are robbed of your true freedom.  Thanking God for the riches without sorrow.  Go fellowship this weekend, we all need it.  God bless you and command your day!!!   For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. -2 Corinthians 7:10 Good morning and terrific Thursday to you. I’ve been asked the difference between guilt and shame and the scripture above is often the answer.  The conviction of God defines us to be in sin, with an acknowledgement of failure and need of a savior. Whereas the sorrow of the world, shame serves to destroy identity, condemn us for forgiven sins and perpetually have us in fear that God has not forgiven us.  Worldly shame is one of the biggest distraction between us and a meaningful relationship with Christ is the detrimental effect of world imposed sorrow. Beloved be the new creature in Christ you are meant to be and send shame the way of its pull, hence back to hell.  God bless you and command your day!!! Your comments and questions are welcome.   For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. -Romans 1:16 Good morning and happy hump day. To spurn truth is to deny the essence of God in Christ the word. As a Christian the truth we know is the truth we should readily share.  The nature of truth is that truth empowers us over the detrimental effects of the lie. The Apostle Paul tells us not to be ashamed of our testimony, that is to readily speak and in glowing term of our relationship with Christ and what Christ has done for all humanity.  Christ testimony denotes the love the Father has for us all and what He did to redeem that which seemed unredeemable.   God bless you and command your day!!!   For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. -Ephesians 2:8:9 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday. A question for this morn, are you living under the law or grace? Many will quickly say grace based more on knowledge than application.  Our grace given by God has is so much more than our faith and that faith is carried by the unlimited capacity of Gods grace.  Grab ahold of that grace to expand your faith.  God bless you and command your day!!!   And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. -Luke 15:27-28 Good morning and TGIF. The story in which the scripture above came from is commonly called the story of the prodigal son.  But if one would read the story, one with see at the prodigal‘s older brother’s story should be reflected upon as well.  The older brothers story deserves equal if not a higher billing then the one referred to as the prodigal son.  Though we all seem to want to identify as the younger brother lost but now found.  I believe the story of the prodigal older brother reflects many of our walks in Christ.  Cynical, haughty, entitled minded are a few words used to describe how far off someone else’s sin an our accusatory view of them can throw us.  Heaven celebrated with the Father but the older brother d...
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. -Colossians 3:15 Good morning and terrific Thursday to you. The peace mentioned in the scripture above is purposed to unify the body of Christ. In the natural there are small differences, cultural nuances that tend to divide us.  Not withstanding that we bleed the same blood and breathe the same air, yet that biggest organ (skin) which by the way only compose 2% of our body divides us.  We cannot be called into one body until the peace of God does rule in our hearts. God’s peace will have you desiring to share across normally accepted social boundaries, it will have you move beyond tolerance to embracing and accepting. His peace will also allow you to correct and not lose your peace if rejected. It will also grow your patience.  We must let His peace go beyond the boundary of our head into the vessel or table of our hearts.  God bless you and command ...
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. -Colossians 3:15 Good morning and happy hump day!    As we all know the reason Wednesdays are called hump day, there is no need to rehash the naming.   So the reason being all who work a regular week with baited breath awaits TGIF. Not withstanding our love for those who work on weekends.  But the point here is that that perfect peace eludes so many and I offer that we must allow God’s peace in our hearts.  The question often asked here is how and for that I offer 5 steps?  Study His peace Know His peace Meditate on His peace Practice His peace Live His peace When you truly follow these steps His peace will rule in your heart, and your heart will serve as the guide to the other parts of your triune being and you will not be easily shaken.  God bless you and command your day!!!   But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. -Galatians 3:11 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you. What drives you? Are there goals you desire to obtain that somehow elude your grasp? Are you hindered from your goals because you will not strike when the iron is hot?  People are both driven or pursued by many things, and thats the way they live. Some live by tradition, rejection, greed, inadequacy, shame, fear and more.  But as the redeemed of Christ we are called to live by our faith.    By God’s grace we received that which we heard, faith.  As David wrote of the valley he certainly spoke of apprehensions but he wasn’t about concede to the unsettling song of fear, instead he faithfully continued walking by faith through that valley.   So our every action, every step, journey , activity and prayer must be of, in, and about faith, it’s how we live.  God bless you and com...
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. -Galatians 3:11 Good morning happy Monday…the year is rapidly leaving us. Often I am asked about my faith. That is my belief beyond what is naturally obvious.  What in the natural is hidden, covered by the dust and residual of discouragement, fear, pass hurts, failures and other things, to me requires merely cleansing as what is on the surface belies what is beneath.  The surface of a newly mined diamond is covered by dirt, and even rock that attempts to hide the brilliance. But the same once the dirt is removed by water, the rock chiseled away you find then something that is yet to shine as brightly as it will when polished.  Beloved faith is so much more than what our eyes behold. Much more than what we can accomplish alone, faith is firm substance, firm enough to stand on. And by faith we should, do and will live.  God bless you and command your da...
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? -Galatians 3:1 Good morning and TGIF. The harsh words of the scripture above would make a Christian recoil especially in today’s world of ultra political correctness.  As Paul spoke of the Galatians, one cannot help but think of a church of new believers who had been enraptured by the spirit but through neglect they fell back into carnality.  Though these were new Saints, they had enough exposure to continue growing in the faith. Paul who was obviously a very intelligent man referred back to the only knowledge that really mattered was knowing Christ and Christ crucified.  Paul had taught them that Jesus had died for their sins and further that in three days he rose up as Christ.  Hence my parting thought; Never become so complacent and lax in your faith that you forget the sacrifice the Christ made a...
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job,  when he prayed for his friends:  also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. -Job 42:10 Good morning and happy hump day! Something happens when one places the needs of others over their own. In the scripture above we find Job following this principle resulting in a compounded blessing.  The scripture speaks of those who came and sat in Job’s ash pile and kept silence giving much needed respite to their friend. But immediately after a period of time “his friends”, spoke what they brought in their heart and held during the respite. Trust me not everybody coming to sit in your ashes do so without judgment.   So after bringing forth their accusations and generally coming to say their expected last goodbyes to Job, Job found great peace in unselfishly praying for them and reaped great benefits by doing so.  The power of unselfish prayer emulates Christ in the garden of gethsemane who though He faced the cross...
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: -1 John 4:2 Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you. The demonic realm is flushed with lying spirits, from the highest to the lowest every spirit not of God lies.  The scripture above speaks of    a defensive weapon supplement that seems to be long forgotten. Consider that those lying spirit have an inability to glorify God in Christ by admitting the triumph Christ had over hell. Prior to Christ resurrection, death had a lasting sting.  That sting like anything that embarrasses the flesh is a source of eternal shame for the demonic realm.  Therefore our forgotten supplemental weapon used to try the spirit by the spirit sits unused, rusting in a corner as a part of our whole armor.  If that supplemental weapon is attached, it would be on the helmet of salvation, that place of thought where it engages the tongue to speak and what is spoke...
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. -1 John 4:7 Good morning and happy Monday! How important is love? I’ve found in my own walk that the basic tenants of grace wouldn’t have occurred without love. Resting on, pulled by and within love are forgiveness, healing, comfort, deliverance, joy, peace, correction    and more.  The theme of God’s love is captured by John in all his writing in particular the scripture above. It doesn’t allow us the luxury of loving only those who we like or feel most comfortable with, but it calls for a broadening of our heart and that love spread by Holy Spirit has no bounds.  That said ethnicity, skin tone, height, weight, political affiliations, sin, sexual orientation, nothing should separate love from our hearts.   God bless you and command your day!!!
