For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. -2 Corinthians 7:10
Good morning and terrific Thursday to you. I’ve been asked the difference between guilt and shame and the scripture above is often the answer.
The conviction of God defines us to be in sin, with an acknowledgement of failure and need of a savior. Whereas the sorrow of the world, shame serves to destroy identity, condemn us for forgiven sins and perpetually have us in fear that God has not forgiven us.
Worldly shame is one of the biggest distraction between us and a meaningful relationship with Christ is the detrimental effect of world imposed sorrow. Beloved be the new creature in Christ you are meant to be and send shame the way of its pull, hence back to hell.
God bless you and command your day!!!
