For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.-Romans 8:6esv 


Good morning and Happy Monday. Reading this scripture in the ESV opens up new understanding. 


Where our thoughts are identifies the location of our hearts, and our thoughts are considered treasures. 


So the scripture in Matt 6:21 rings true. Our thoughts that are set on carnal things deny the place the Lord only should occupy. 


When we treasure or cater to our flesh the results or the destination is always death. As I read the scripture I realized how life and peace are the residual effects of living in the spirit.

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life. Next, because of His immaculate conception and sinless existence, He was qualified to be sacrificed. This requirement was too great for sinful man to fulfill.
