Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. -1 John 4:1

Good morning and happy Monday to you!  When you look closely at the idea of “spirit” in this scripture, it points to direct spiritual influence. However, it’s important to understand that spirits need physical vessels to function within our world. As a result, some individuals — whether aware of it or not — become vessels for malevolent spirits.

As believers who have been cleansed by the blood of Christ, it is vital to stay spiritually aware while engaging with the physical world. This requires discerning the nature of the spirits we encounter in order to confront them effectively.

The Apostle reassures us that regardless of what we face, the power of the Holy Spirit within us surpasses any opposing force.
