Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. -Galatians 6:7
Good morning and TGIF! Have you ever plunged into water and come out dry, or touched a live wire and felt no shock? More importantly, understand this: you’ll never truly recognize grace as salvation without first having the faith to believe.
It’s not the jump that soaked you, nor the wire that shocked you—it was the choice to engage that led to the outcome, hence the consequences which follow. Grace might delay the consequences, giving space for faith to grow, but grace without faith is as dead as faith without action.
Beloved, we often try to separate our choices from their consequences, but such separation doesn’t exist. This is the very warning the scripture above offers us. The hardest lessons are often the most unforgettable.
Go fellowship this weekend, we all need it.
