O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever. -Psalms 118:1


Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you! The scripture above begins with gratitude and further emphasizes His goodness. 


In the first verse, it highlights His remarkable mercy. While we often hear about His amazing grace, His mercy is equally amazing. The subsequent verses begin with a personal testimony before illustrating the enduring nature of the Lord's mercy. 


This serves as evidence of His love without compromising His justice. Surely, we can all recount moments in our lives when His mercy, the withholding of deserved punishment, shielded us. 


Consider times when we were in the wrong and ensnared by sin, yet His mercy restrained the hand of justice. Reflecting on how His mercies are renewed each morning, don't we all yearn for fresh mercies every day?

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life.
