For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. -Philippians 1:21
Good morning and happy Monday to you! The scripture above stands as profound among the many writings of the Apostle Paul which says a lot.
His impending execution had not removed any of the fire ignited on the road to Damascus more than 30 years prior. He still burned with the passion expressed in the first part of this statement, “To live is Christ”.
In the simplest terms he is saying as long as he lives Christ would come forth as a testimony particularly to those lost. Yet as you read the chapter you see Paul stated as Christians know and desire, to be in the arms of Jesus is far better.
But as we exist in our current state, on this side of the Jordan, we must be living and speaking testimonies for Christ whilst longing for our gain.
