Good morning and terrific Thursday to you! In John 8:36, a complementary passage highlights the Lord as the ultimate liberator of captives. Those who acknowledge their captivity from birth eagerly accept their freedom. 


However, those who fail to recognize their entanglement remain trapped in the cycle of sin, akin to a hamster wheel. Just as Christ liberated individuals from demons and sickness, he urges us to remain free.

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life. Next, because of His immaculate conception and sinless existence, He was qualified to be sacrificed. This requirement was too great for sinful man to fulfill.
