Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. -John 15:4
Good morning and happy Monday to you! As the Lord spoke these words with the authority and intensity of that moment so does He speak those words to us in the now.
In this scripture we are reminded as long as we abide in Him (cherishing, operating, serving), He will abide within us and provide purpose, direction, passion, and hope.
Abiding is so much more than a casual passing, a visit, more than being familiar, but abide means to dwell therein. Abiding in Him grants the ultimate of access that is consuming and reciprocal.
The branch and the vine operate based on the existence of each other but no branch could exist independent of the vine and without the vine, the branch will bear no fruit.
As our hope is placed in Him alone, abiding in Him is critical. Without abiding we could not carry out the basic tenants of the faith.
God bless you and command your day!!!
