Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. -Psalms 51:10


Good morning and TGIF! King David in his apologetic repentance and confession before the Lord asked for the gift of cleansing and then a solidification of his resolve. 


That solidification is a renewed spirit. A renewed spirit goes beyond a hyssop purging, character is added to the spirit. 

That character which helps prevent future transgressions. 


Holy Spirit takes up residence inside each believer and as the believer allows works within us. His operation is limited by our willful sin and empowered when we strive to righteous living.  David knew this and wanted the restoration because through Holy Spirit our access remains intact. 


Go fellowship this weekend, we all need it.

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life.
