Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. -Matthew 7:21
Good morning and terrific Thursday to you! In Hebrew when something is repeated twice sequentially it is to emphasize its importance. Consider how Jesus used the word Lord, Lord here.
It does not appear to emphasize the importance of someone pronouncing and praising as much as it shows vain repetition is not the same as true follow-ship.
Some who say Lord, Lord will enter heaven, whilst some who say it will not. The difference is eye serving and boastfulness doesn’t define you as doing the will of the Father.
God bless you and command your day!!!
