God bless you and welcome to hump day!  Just how does peace surpass understanding? A quick thought could be when your understanding becomes Faith you understand peace. 


True peace far exceeds in the natural a truce, a bargaining agreement or a treaty. Those things are contractual in nature and depends on the life, honesty and willingness of the opposing parties having stated, situational  or even equal footing. 


But our peace is covenant and covenants are not quid pro quo (fair days work = fair days pay). The scripture above a explains how focus determines peace. 


Your focus increases your faith while providing greater understanding and that understanding gives godly joy and…that peace.
