Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; -Hebrews 6:19


Good morning beloved, God bless you and welcome to “Terrific Thursday”.  Sometimes it seems that this world, our world is in the midst of a great storm. 


Instead of cats and dogs, it’s raining wolves and lions and the objects swirling around in the wind are not leaves and dust but full trees and mountains.


Morality seems to be in free fall and cold hearts displayed as murder is unrestricted, fathers killing instead of protecting their families. Mothers getting abortions as one would a pedicure. 


And the worst of the winds and rain of depravity is yet to come. In such a soup sandwich of a world the one thing that should keep us grounded is the reliability of Jesus. 


The scripture above advises us to draw closer, to shore up our lines and keep watch over the surety of anchor.  


When your hope is in the Lord then you are steadfast and unshaken. Your sails may move with the wind but the anchor secured in the rock remains in place.

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life.
