But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. -Matthew 13:23

Good morning, Happy Veterans Day. The scripture above is a call to examine what I call your soil. There are two soils in general. The soil of His word and the soil of the world.

We must strive to dig deep in His good soil. The soil of the world offers a depth and we being in and not of this world, must have an understanding of the worlds soil, akin to looking into the well but not jumping in.

Know there is a depth but don’t get too deep. There is a depth so deep that you can’t hear the voice of God in the soil of this world.  It isn’t the depth, but it is the soil of of this world points to self.

When you are so into the worlds soil, you began believing your own press and concerned about pleasing others. Each point takes you deeper into the soil of self.

The worlds soil doesn’t have the things needed to nourish the saved. What it has are things that steal the nutrients of the word of God, Kills your desire to grow and destroys your relationship with God and others.

I implore you that you cast yourself into His soil where growth is guaranteed and protects you from the false deep of the worlds soil which  blocks you from hearing from God.
