For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. -Proverbs 24:16


God bless you and TGIF! In the scripture above a contrast is shown.  As fallible beings we certainly fall short, but one whose heart seeks the Lord does not stay down while the wicked doesn’t even attempt to rise out of sin. 


The old sage Solomon after years of falling finally rises up and makes the statement here. Given his history we should all be encouraged of God’s grace. 


Solomon had fallen into idolatry and was very promiscuous, making alliances by marrying idol worshippers and joining in their foolishness. So when he says been there, done that, trust him. 


Yet at this point of his life he wrote with conviction that he was rising again. Many times people find it hard to rise up due to the unforgiving nature of those they may have offended. But rise again we must! 


Perhaps you have fallen and in your fallen state you realize that you are tired of being there? You have tried all you could to get up yourself but the circumstances are relentless. How about asking for help from the Lord! 


Oh the immeasurable grace of God! The Lord has helped me up so much and He is willing and able to do the same for you! Don’t stay down, get up that 7th or even 8th time. 


Go fellowship, we all need it.
