But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. -Isaiah 40:31
God bless you and good morning. Welcome to hump day. I was recently watching an episode of the Andy Griffith show (yes I’m that corny) and their preacher was preaching a sermon on slowing down.
That show of course was on television from the late 50s through the 60s. Yet here we are 50 years later and not many of us heed the simple message of taking our time.
Not much can be found that has been beneficial from the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath, but one thing for certain is it has slowed us down.
I have grown closer to family, friends and if it is even possible, to our Lord. I didn’t know how much I was missing because I had become too busy.
The scripture above is so applicable telling us to wait on God! The strength doesn’t come when your wait is over, it begins in the waiting. While you are waiting, your understanding grows, your patience, your exposure, your knowledge.
