2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.

3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. -James 4

Good morning, God bless you and happy Tuesday. This morning before prayer, a thought came to me about owning words we speak and we words receive.

Everyone wants their blessings but do not understand that we own our words and can either accept or own what others say.

Owning our words allows us to desire things God has for us and not what He has given others. God wants to bless us but we must know the difference between what He has blessed us with versus what is stolen.

2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.

Verse by verse...

Cain desired what God had said about Abel and could have had the same but his heart wasn’t right so he killed Abel, further  more relationship are broken by simple jealousy, which is the same spirit that rose up in Cain to murder his brother.

Tomorrow let’s look a the last phrase of verse 2 and all of verse 3.
