And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; -Luke 18:1
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. -James 5:16
Good morning and TGIF. Beloved did you know that confession begins in your mind, reaches your heart and is then released from your mouth. Some though imitate what they have heard, indicating that you can pray right but think wrong. Being transparent here, I must admit I was not fully engaged in every course I've taken. I clearly recall of certain courses, when will I ever use this information? I could care less about the spawning life of a 🐌.
But to pass the class, I would remember key points and if needed full paragraphs of information for the purpose of regurgitation when needed. After I've passed the class, I would do a brain dump only recalling bits and pieces of what I'd temporarily stored.
If someone asked me to explain that deleted information, even while in the throes of the class and certainly not after I'd be unable to do so. So my quoting the information at that appointed time or thereafter has not in any significant way affected my thinking.
Thus we all have the tendency of doing the same and as Christians be careful that our thought life aligns with our prayer life.
Jesus said we must always pray and then said that prayer must be effective and to be effective it must be frequent and sincere. Prayer is certainly negated by what may come from your thought life. So watch over your thought life to be an effective prayer warrior!
Go to church you need the fellowship...have an awesome weekend.
