But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; -Matthew 5:44

Good morning and God bless you. Happy Monday!  I use the scripture above to make the bold statement below:

“You are not responsible for other people’s actions, you are responsible for your reactions.”

I noted in Samuel 1 how Saul knowing his men had taken things that God said destroy, but instead of taking the reins and requiring that they return those things to be destroyed, he allowed and even excused their sin.

He would not be responsible for the things his men took that he knew nothing about, but he was responsible for knowing and his reaction.

We are responsible for known personal

offenses, that is our own indiscretions, but not for those of others.

Let’s face it, today is Monday and by midweek, most of us are saying “Jesus take the wheel.” By Friday if they said one more thing to us, we would willingly be featured on a crime show.

Our reactions in such cases are what we would be responsible for...Reactions are natural, so it is the nature of our reaction that counts.

We are called to be meek, humble and long suffering, otherwise known as reactions. Let’s practice meek Mondays, Humble Wednesdays and long suffering Fridays (lol).
