But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19
God bless and good morning. In my mind preaching the prosperity ministry without the ministry of righteousness is like preaching muscles without exercise.
Most quote the scripture above as if it is the defining pronounced key to kingdom blessings, and as what happens with partly dividing the word, occurs.
Upfront Paul was speaking from a place of needing but not having, a place of having but not needing. But regardless being satisfied in God’s provisions. He spoke of this in verse 12.
But even in his suffering he said in verse 13; what we all should say. We can do all things through Christ...which includes endure all things knowing how Romans 8:28 (All things work together) fits rightly within.
Many times we consider Phil 4:19 when the big challenges present themselves but big challenges are made of little unrecognized challenges and like interest unchallenged they grow.
For instance when we don’t bring every thought under subjection, then our mind is allowed to be a conduit to other thoughts contrary to God.
I believe the wondering of our minds has somehow played a part in the prosperity gospel many embrace more so than the basis for being blessed by the repentance and service gospel.
The truth of the full gospel is God’s grace and in His grace He provides needs and is gracious enough to provide some wants.
