And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. -Joshua 24:15

God bless you and good morning. In this world we seem to have alternatives to every thing. Not just the up to the down, left vs right, nor the this or that. But more relevant are our choices in the spirit.

As we are told to eschew the very appearance of sin, there are some choices we make that literally give legal authority over our life to the enemy.

This is the case with the children of Israel. After wondering the desert because of CHOICES, they had now come into the Promiseland. Though they had God’s blessings they still were practicing idol worship, and suffering in their Promiseland.

When they came to a national convocation the keynote speaker,

Joshua laid out their history.  He destroyed the alternatives, showing how they had delayed their blessings and promoted curses.

His final words were used on the handle of the fork in the road pointing out choices. The wide left or the narrow right.

The wide left blinds you to the reality of things, while the narrow right opens your eyes to truth. That truth would make you as Moses; refusing the short pleasure of a princely life for the glory of serving the one true God.

Let today be the day you choose that you, and your household will serve the Lord with all your heart.
