All these are the beginning of sorrows. -Matthew 24:8
Good morning and terrific Thursday to you! A word of encouragement should not be devoid of correction and is often intertwined with a prophetic message. In this light, the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 encompass all three elements necessary for deliverance.
We are living in an age of deception, where inexperienced individuals often deliver “prophetic” messages of prosperity that are encouraging but lack the essential correction. Words of correction carry warnings, and ignoring these warnings leads to the unfolding of justice in its appointed time.
The first six verses of Matthew 24 describe the destruction of the temple (which has already taken place) and outline various challenges humanity faces, including wars, rumors of war, regional conflicts, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various regions.
In verse eight, a sobering statement is made: these are just the beginning of sorrows. Let this encourage you to seize every opportunity to introduce someone to the Jesus you serve—it may be their last chance.
