Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them. -Exodus 26:1


Good morning and terrific Thursday to you! The scripture above gives us clear and detailed instructions for building the Tabernacle and its furnishings.


Not only were the materials specified, but also the exact measurements, colors, design elements, and more.


God appointed Moses as the project leader, giving him a skilled team and directing him to gather supplies and labor to build according to His precise instructions.


Moses followed those directions without deviation! If only we could grasp the significance of following instructions so carefully…


If left to his own judgment, Moses might have chosen a different type of wood, a cheaper metal, or accepted the lowest bid for craftsmanship. Despite having authority and a role in the project, Moses adhered to the plan as given.


Let this be a reminder to study, seek, and follow the assignment without altering it for personal convenience, others' discomfort, or to please anyone but the One who gave the instructions.

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life.
