For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; -2 Timothy 4:3


Good morning and TGIF! The time, era, and season that the Apostle Paul prophesied about is truly upon us. The term "endure" signifies that people may even resort to violence if you do not accept the falsehoods they have embraced as their truth.


Consider that the driving force behind this behavior is a desire to live according to their own desires, essentially making themselves their own gods. Their desires lead them to support anyone who agrees with them and who will not hold them accountable.


An interesting story in Acts 7:57 illustrates how committed people can become to their beliefs. Not wanting to consider the possibility of being wrong, they move from simply ignoring the truth to shouting to drown it out, even covering their ears, and ultimately, to canceling (stoning) those who disagree.


Beloved, walk in the truth you understand without pride, remaining open to the unfolding of prophecy and new revelations.


Go fellowship this weekend, we all need it.

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life.
