O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. -Matthew 12:34


Good morning and happy hump day to you! As a parent I’ve been accursed of reading my children’s mind. I’ll plead the 5th. But really there is no such thing as a mind reader as only God can see your thoughts from afar. 


But the thoughts that come from your mouth…well that’s a different story. The scripture above were words used by John the Baptist to describe the Pharisees. 


Known to have seditious tongues, John merely pointed out what was well documented. No one had to wonder about what was in their heart as it freely came out of their mouths. 


In similitude what is in your heart eventually makes its way to and out of your mouth.  Notice the word ABUNDANCE which means full. So full in fact, that the fullness is not depleted as only portions are released out your mouth. 


A heart full of hurt and hate releases out of its abundance hurt and hate…conversely if it is full of love and peace, it releases love and peace.

His mission had multiple purposes, and I will highlight two of them. First, we needed an example of righteousness—someone conceived without sin and who lived a sinless life.
