Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the JOY of the LORD is your STRENGTH. -Nehemiah 8:10

Good morning and tremendous Tuesday to you! The reciprocal nature of God is so amazing. The crux of this scripture attests to this immutable truth.

When we please the Lord, our life honors Him and honor gives Him joy. That joy gives us strength to continue to give Him honor…

Nehemiah served King Artaxerxes I and he understood how bringing joy became strength. Simply if this King wasn’t pleased with you, he would often separate your head from your body.

Given his servanthood to this earthly King and knowing the King of King, how much more would his service be given.

Though we all strive to serve the Lord not for just the benefits but out of love, there will certainly remain those inherent unearned as well as reciprocal benefits.

God bless you and command your day!!!
