No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. -Isaiah 54:17

Good morning and happy hump day to you! How many think they know the scripture above? A show of hands would yield many raised, some higher than others.

Well I for one thought I knew everything there was to know about it until I really took the time to read the verse leading up to it.

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. -Isaiah 54:16

The Lord created the weapon builder (Smith) and the weapon user (soldier/waster). Then the remainder of verse 17 began screaming at me…and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.

The tongue here is not the tongue of the creator, but that of the enemy.  His tongue speaks to the smith, pays them to forge the weapon, further that tongue employees the waster.

Finally consider your role, yes…you have a role. Every tongue that rises in judgment THOU shall condemn. God does the heavy work controlling the Smith and the waster.

We condemn their efforts though our lives lived in victory, our actions, our tongues. We are the THOU spoken of here.

God bless you and command your day!!!
