But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: -1 Peter 2:9


Good morning and terrific Thursday to you! In total transparency someone called me strange at work which I took no offense. 


Shouldn’t we all be peculiar when the reference that is used is this old broken world? The same which is expected because it is common rarely draws ire or admiration as this world assigns value. 


Peculiar is a contrasting, where it is found that the object observed differs from other objects. Christians should be peculiar when the world performs an assessment. 


The Apostle Peter was inspired to call us peculiar and Royal. Royals never conduct themselves as those around them. Royals know their linage and act accordingly, as should we. 


That said I’ve been called strange as you may have been, take no offense just keep on doing things as unto Christ, you peculiar person.
