Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. -Isaiah 54:16

Good morning and terrific Thursday to you!

The scripture above is found as the preceding scripture to its more famous neighbor. That scripture of course is “No weapon formed…”. But the scripture leading to it gives us pause to the power of our God.

In the scripture we marvel because the God of all is just that…so weapons that are formed are formed by things which God created and still has control over.

That said I propose the identity of the smith is none other than self. The word smith denotes an artisan who has master a given trade. But like any other smith, they take the raw material and make the end product but the material is provided by a distributor.

The distributor is the enemy. He uses weapons that are formed to destroy us and others, but the former being the smith is more in line with the role humankind plays.

So if life and death is in the power of the tongue it speaks forth that we order the raw material from the distributor and promptly he delivers it.

The smith conceives what they want to make. Consider that weapons begin as an ideal or concept. Meaning they have to be. Conceived before they can be visualized. The visualization results in schematics or drawing of the weapon to include an explanation of how the weapon will function.

How do we help in the process of the weapon being conceptualized? By what we think and what we say.

So beloved do not relish in the role of the smith. And if you master the role let it be as one who speaks and creates life and not death.

God bless you and command your day!!!
