Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, -Philippians 3:8

God bless you on this terrific Tuesday. I remember the story of a Army General getting radically saved. He graduated first in his class from the US Military Academy and excelled in all his assignments.

After years of military service which included both the Korean War and the Vietnamese war, he had a wonderful life with a wife and great children but something was missing. He had been early selected in every rank and an exceptional commander. But something was missing still. He was empty inside.

A life long Catholic, education and life experiences had him leaning towards agnosticism. He was invited to an Evangelical church by one of his senior officers and while there the preacher began telling his story.

When the call went out for salvation the scripture above spoke to him. What good are all the things of this world without Jesus? Paul said just to know the excellency of Christ I gave it all up!

How bad do you want Christ? Will you give it all up? Will you depart from that which puts a block in your relationship with Him?

The General as successful as he had been before Christ became even more successful in the grace provided by relationship with Christ.  With Him you win!!!
