But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: -1 Peter 3:15

Good morning and happy hump day!!!

Ive always rehearsed the instruction of the scripture above.

The word sanctify here means to have so much reverence for the Lord that your time is well spent learning Him and growing in your relationship.

Doing so is important if you are to carry out the great commission and answer those that do not understand your peace, joy and love.

Through your effort some will be saved. But you are called to more than those who will accept, but also to those who will reject.

I recently saw in ignorance how a scripture was taken out of context, not taking into account place, time, customs, etc and thought of how the elements of rebellion will cause a person to want to believe what is convenient to their lifestyle.

Are we called to them, yes we are! And to answer them we must know, who, when, what, where why, and how.

Who-Jesus

When-2000 years ago

What-came to offer redemption

Where-On the cross

Why-He love us and we were doomed

How-Through His examples, teaching and shed blood

You must be prepared to answer and do so humbly and meekly.
