Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. -Proverbs 4:7

God bless you and good morning. Is it possible to have too much knowledge?

That of course is up for debate, but knowledge without understanding isn’t.

I recently saw a quote which inspired me to strive to convert as much of what I know into understanding.

“I can explain it to you, but can’t understand it for you.”

Depending on how you are wired that stated to you could be an insult or an inspiration. I pray most chose the latter.

The writer of Proverbs stated the same thing, decrying the value of knowledge as it pales when compared to understanding.

Understanding can come in an informal setting (school of hard knocks) or formal setting (Harvard). Yet the value does not diminish. Wherever you get understanding treasure it and use it as a springboard into a better life.
