In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be
ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
-Psalms 31:1
Good morning and God bless you. Central to your Christian
walk is Trust. Often the two words used interchangeably are faith and trust. But
though they have similarities faith is a noun that is all encompassing, whilst
trust is a verb or action. It takes faith to have trust. Put in a sentence “Because
I have faith, I trust God.” Based on that thought our faith must be intact so
that we walk by faith and not by sight.
You have faith you place trust. Faith is simple yet it is
complex. Having faith in God does not always mean you trust Him. Even demons
have faith. But in their fallen state they had and have not trust. Faith is a great
country, while trust is a city within a state, within that country.
The Psalmist statement above is why I do not gamble in
anyway. The Lord can take better care of my needs without using a demonic
system which has destroyed lives, cultivated immoral crimes, such as robbery,
murder to include sexually oriented crimes and creates generational poverty in
families. When in your faith and your action being trust, you will not be put
to shame as David said, “Never have I seen the righteous forsaken or his seed
beg for bread.”
Go to fellowship this Sunday, we all need interaction.
