Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. -Romans 16:17

Good morning and God bless you!

There is one true gospel but many interpretations. I have found that though some are based in pure misunderstanding, many are based in that individuals arrogance, and inability to  admit to being wrong. The inability to learn is described below

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. -2 Timothy 3:7

This scripture reflects that among us will be smart people who don’t know anything.

They talk well, dress well, appear well but in reality, they are confused and please note here that confusion and rebellion are joined at the hip, because rebellion hangs out with confusion.

As Christians we must take note of those who cause confusion. I take note of members of the five fold who spew hate, fear and their frustration on public forums and I mark them, that is I examine what they write and know that it is often written from a place of great pain.

This is true for some and for certain they need healing, but there are also those who just like to stir up things and they pander to their followers seeking to remain relevant. In my walk I’ve found that the most popular may not be the most relevant. God uses loners more often than the lift of the party.

It is interesting that this scripture is written by Paul who was by no means a loner or wall flower, but Paul knew that trouble makers should be identified if for no other reason than to protect the flock.

We all have FRIENDS who we should mark; take note and know that it is ok to stand on righteous ground and love them from across the street.

Enjoy your weekend.
