The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. -Proverbs 10:22
Good morning and God bless you. Lets get right into this...The scripture above comes from King Solomon and resonates in my heart shedding light on the impoverishment lie.
When Jesus said it was easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than to make it into heaven, He was by no means saying rich folks will not go to heaven.
It was referring to the heart of those who love money and came after He encountered the young nobleman.
Showing that God has no problem with us having wealth as long as it doesn’t have us are many wealthy people in the Bible. Abraham, Job, Solomon, to name a few...
The problem comes when your every waking moment is about your hustle and you will bowl over anyone that stands between you and a quarter on the sidewalk.
I have heard drug dealers talk about their ill gotten gains as blessings, but then why the sorrow of living in the shadows, the sorrow of addicts, the sorrow of getting caught and prison sentences.
Then the sorrow of your wanting another chance but you are constantly hounded by your past. The blessings of the Lord would never give you those things.
Beloved communicate to young people this wise word from eons ago, letting them know that there are no free shortcuts and as a friend once quipped, cheap is expensive.
