But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. -Isaiah 40:31

Good morning and God bless you. Happy Monday. Oh the beginning of our busy week referred to humorously as the rat race.

As I merged into traffic this morning in i-240 the thought of our insidious plight became frfr. Even in the midst of the public health crisis many have not stopped running the race.

Yes it is understood that we are trying to provide for our families, but every now and then we should slow down and wait while listening.

A song that has been playing over and over in my mind says Lord keep me in the moment. Many do not understand the importance of staying in a moment.

Many say Lord whatever you are doing in this season...don’t do it without me, but He does it in spite of your absence because we don’t know how to wait.

If the prodigal son had only stayed in the moment, pig slop wouldn’t been on the menu.

If Adam has stayed in the moment we would still be in Eden.

If Moses has stayed in the moment he would have spoke not struck the rock.

If David had stayed in the moment while at war, he wouldn’t had the opportunity to sleep with Bathsheba.

The moment is when the Lord pours into us, shapes us, cuts and molds us.

An old old song says

Oh for a moment on the potters wheel I pray, spin me Lord each and everyday

Wash me down with your spirited stay, a perfect vessel of me you make.

God bless and Command Your Day
