5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Proverbs 3
Taking Samson to the groomer this morning has turned into quite the adventure. When he gets into the car he surmises quickly the difference between a ride and an appointment.
You would think that either the clicking of his nails on the tile floor and the inability to walk without slipping, or his own smell would make him drag me to the car and not the other way around.
But either way Samson doesn’t see the necessity of grooming. Though the Covid delayed grooming would alleviate many ailments of a dog long overdue for it, he fights me the whole time.
The ride over is filled with pleading. Him pleading not to go and my pleading for him to hush😂. Dog breath👀.
I believe even after all these years there is a trust issue here. As he walks up the ramp he knows then exactly where he is and began to shake, then he looks at me and my demeanor encourages him and he slowly walk with me.
With a steely jaw 😂and face set like flint I trudge on confidently up the ramp. As I thought of the mistrust issue I recalled the scripture above.
We are often like Samson fearing what we can’t control and literally paralyzed by the unknown.
Besides not being a receptor of fear, we must sometimes go when we are not certain of what our certain God is doing.
As humans no matter how intelligent and saved we may be, our understanding is flawed. Paul expressed in in 1Corinthians 13 as “knowing in part”.
Partially knowing impacts our understanding, and until we are in the Lord’s presence we will always lack full understanding.
The solution to what comes from lacking understanding is simply trusting the Lord. Even though we don’t understand how technology work, we trust it...TRUST HIM.
