23 1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside
the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
God bless you and good morning. God is good all the time…Early
this morning before prayer I was woke and pre-praying when a good friend from
overseas sent me such an encouraging word that I couldn’t even go back to sleep.
In this venue, it would be impossible to summarize but in general, it had to do
with adhering to the plan of God for Christians. As a Christian, there will be
times of uncertainty, whereas everything that you want to do or even need to do
works to not be done.
At these times it is so easy to become discouraged and to
give in to the chaos, but there comes a time to rest in the Lord. To rest in
Him requires faith, requires also experience and perseverance. The faith of the
body of Christ is under attack. The first area the enemy usually attacks is
provision. A farmer’s greatest challenge is never getting the crop planted,
harvested, or taken to market it is in the process of growing the seeds into
plants. When the seedlings become young tender plants this is when they are
most subject to dying due to the pestilence of bugs.
The plants then never produce the actual crop that is to
be harvested. If you have to be worried about your plants never producing
harvest then your focus leaves what God has you doing and you become prey to
the ploy of the enemy.
I want to look at 23rd Psalms, pretty much
verse one, and compare it to the lack the enemy uses to distract us. When the
Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want. Shall is a powerful word in terms of
obligations upon the parties mentioned. Will is rarely used in contract
language because will lacks the legal precedence of shall. Shall in a contract
is enforceable. Now think of how this fits into our covenant relationship. Yes,
our covenant is beyond a contract, a covenant places the burden upon God even
when we do not fulfill our obligation (i.g. It rains on the just and the unjust).
When the creator of all abundance is responsible for you
then abundance abounds to you. All that seems to be nothing becomes something
when someone in covenant relationship has a need. God encourages us to pull on
that covenant relationship, making known on the earth and in the earth who your
shepherd is and as it all belongs to Him blessings are released to provide for
you.
God Bless You and Command Your Day
