Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. -Ephesians 4:29

The scripture above refers to gossip but gossip is a life partner with fear.  Do you remember the “in crowd” of high school. 

That crowd always had one leader and that leader was in place because of one ability. It wasn’t so much looks, smarts, athleticism or even financial privilege as it was the ability to out talk others. 

What drives them is not just wanting to be on top per se as it is a deep rooted insecurity. 

So at any cost they will propel the bullet points of their agenda to the forefront. Be by flat out lies, insinuations, snubs or worst. 

In each of us exist insecurities and to combat them a desire to be on top is cultivated. Either as THAT leader or another type of leader and that desire unchecked makes it just that much easier to promote what may not be truth.  

That said consider that many of us without proof and just mere speculation propel rumor to the place of honor held for truth. Many do so without understanding “the butterfly wing principle”. 

The premise is that for every action there is a reaction. For the sake of time below is a good textbook meaning. 

“The phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere.“

That localized change can and has often been a small lie when it is hyped will grow from a drop to an ocean. When a minor incident in terms of its perceived impact is loosed, untold problems can begin. 

Hence the saying a little white lie has no validity. Look at the trouble caused by a little bite of apple. 

Daily many partner with the spirit of fear and help it by spreading along an unproven, unsound, and biased through their own lens or filters quotes, sayings, and or news article. 

We all have unknowingly partnered with fear and spread things. Me included and for that I apologize and will make every effort in the future to look before I leap for fear needs to have no partners.
